ATOME is a UK-listed green fertiliser developer focused on producing lower-carbon fertiliser using renewable energy. The company aims to support more sustainable agriculture by developing projects that use renewable power, air and water to make fertiliser, with the potential to reduce emissions compared with conventional production. Its flagship development is the 145MW Villeta project in Paraguay, where a power purchase agreement is secured, front-end engineering design is complete and an EPC contract has been signed.
The project is planned to become operational in 2028. ATOME is also advancing the proposed 300MW Yguazu project in Paraguay, with preliminary power arrangements secured and studies ongoing. Across its pipeline, the company reports 600MW of planned green fertiliser production capacity.
Through ATOME Power, it is developing solar and battery storage solutions intended to supply emerging industries. In Central America and the Caribbean, National Ammonia Corporation, formed by ATOME and Cavendish S. A., is pursuing green fertiliser projects, initially focusing on Costa Rica
