About Atopos
Atopos CVC is an Athens-based cultural organization dedicated to developing innovative projects in contemporary visual culture with a focus on the human figure and costume. As a non-profit organization, Atopos CVC is deeply committed to researching and initiating projects that explore the expression and adornment of the human body in unique and unconventional ways. The word "atopos" originates from the ancient Greek term "άτοπος," which conveys the idea of the strange, unwonted, eccentric, and unclassifiable.
Since its establishment in 2003 by Stamos Fafalios and Vassilis Zidianakis, Atopos CVC has created an interdisciplinary platform for the arts by merging their diverse backgrounds in art, architecture, fashion, and anthropology. With their headquarters located at 72 Salaminos Street in Athens, Greece, Atopos CVC continues to push the boundaries of contemporary visual culture through their compelling projects and collaborations
