ATPS Network is a trans-disciplinary network that brings together researchers, policymakers, private sector actors, and civil society to promote the generation, dissemination, use, and mastery of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) for African development, environmental sustainability, and global inclusion. Their mission is to improve the quality of STI systems research and policymaking in Africa by strengthening capacity for knowledge generation, communication, dissemination, and use. They achieve this by collaborating with like-minded institutions and providing platforms for collaborative and innovative policy research.

ATPS focuses on four strategic priority areas: agriculture, food and nutrition; energy; climate change and environment; and health. Through their programs, they aim to advance STI policy research, policymaking, and advocacy, as well as training, capacity building, and knowledge brokerage. They also undertake various projects to address pressing challenges and promote sustainable development in Africa.

With over 5000 members and stakeholders in 51 countries, ATPS is a leading international center of excellence for STI systems research. They work through their national chapters and have a secretariat based in Nairobi, Kenya. Recognized as the top Science and Technology Policy Think Tank in Africa, ATPS is dedicated to building Africa's capabilities in STI for sustainable development
