Ätrabygdens

Ätrabygdens Ridklubb is a community riding club based in Älvsered, in the heart of the Ätrabygden region. Describing itself as a small club with big opportunities, it welcomes people involved in horses and equestrian sport, from young beginners to experienced and accomplished competitors. Its broad catchment area extends from Källsjö, Ullared and Fegen in the south to Svenljunga, Öxabäck and Torestorp in the north.

The club’s members participate in show jumping, dressage, eventing and driving. Its activities include competitions for different levels, ranging from Pay and Jump events and club championships to national-level horse competitions at three-star level. Members also contribute to organising several competitions each year, attracting participants from across western Sweden. The club has trained officials, including show-jumping judges and course designers, and provides information about its facilities, riding rules, arena hire and maintenance. With a youth section, member information and club clothing, Ätrabygdens Ridklubb supports an active equestrian community through opportunities to participate, compete and help run events. It is supported by local sponsors.
