A Travers Ciel

À Travers Ciel is a paragliding school offering training and tandem flights for pilots and visitors in the French Alps, including the Alpes-Maritimes near Nice. Its programs cover a range of experience levels, from soaring and thermal flying to cross-country progression, competition initiation, and emergency parachute deployment. Tandem options include discovery, panorama, adventure, prestige, acrobatic, and children’s flights, with durations ranging from around 15 minutes to two hours.

The school’s approach aims to help pilots become more independent through structured, practical learning. Training is organized in small groups, with no more than three pilots per instructor, and adapts to each participant’s experience and goals. Instructors use detailed debriefings, flight-track analysis, video, and discussion of technical and mental aspects to help students understand their decisions and improve their skills. The method emphasizes learner participation, a supportive communication environment, and precise practice of takeoffs, positioning, and landings. À Travers Ciel also provides resources on paragliding technique and pilot development, alongside stage planning and booking information.
