About atSpiro
Recognizing that the current system for bringing biological products to market is slow and expensive, they are dedicated to developing technologies that make the process more reliable, efficient, and data-driven. Their ultimate goal is to become the go-to fermentation platform, breaking down the barriers to entry for new biopharma, industrial biotech, and food-biotech products. Their journey began in September 2019 when atSpiro ApS was incorporated and started validating their prototype with researchers from the National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark.
Since then, atSpiro has received funding and support from various initiatives and organizations such as the Danish Tech Challenge, DTU Skylab Incubator, Accelerace, InnoBooster, and the InnoFounder acceleration and incubation program. They have also collaborated with industry leader Novozymes and become a part of the Alfa Laval Innovation House community. In June 2022, atSpiro received funding from Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse and the REACT Regionalfond.
