Atsuko’s Kitchen is a London-based cooking school and food business founded by Japanese chef, cookery tutor and author Atsuko Ikeda. Since 2008, Atsuko has led hands-on workshops that introduce students to authentic Japanese home cooking in a small, friendly setting in Shoreditch. Classes include sushi making, bento box workshops and lessons in traditional Japanese dishes, with an interactive approach designed to help participants learn practical skills and enjoy the flavours of Japan.

Alongside public cooking classes, Atsuko’s Kitchen offers private lessons, corporate events and team-building experiences. Its services also include bespoke catering, private dining, supper clubs and consultancy. The business publishes three cookbooks: Sushi Made Simple, a guide to making sushi at home; Atsuko’s Japanese Kitchen, featuring accessible traditional recipes; and Otsumami, focused on Japanese snacks and appetizers. Gift vouchers are available, and the website shares recipes, inspiration and information about classes and events.
