About ATUPA
The Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA) is a Pan-African organization that was previously known as the Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (CAPA). Established on August 29, 2019, during the CAPA General Assembly of Heads of Member Institutions in Kigali, Rwanda, ATUPA aims to enhance technical education and international cooperation in Africa.
ATUPA offers various initiatives such as the Women in Technical Education and Development (WITED) program and the Pan African Youth Forum. The organization also hosts annual international conferences and regional TVET conferences to promote skills development, mobility, and resilient economies in Africa.
