About American University of Beirut
The American University of Beirut (AUB) is a renowned institution that aims to serve the people of Lebanon, the region, and the Global South. With a vision for global excellence, AUB is becoming a more diverse and inclusive university. This ambitious vision, developed over three years, ensures AUB's future success, relevance, and sustainability.
As part of this vision, AUB has established its first campus outside Lebanon, called AUB Mediterraneo. Approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, AUB Mediterraneo operates as a branch campus of AUB. The campus offers accredited programs through the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education.
In the 2023-24 academic year, AUB Mediterraneo will welcome students and offer undergraduate and graduate programs in philosophy, politics, economics, psychology, computer science, industrial engineering, and more. Their goal is to expand the student body to 2,000 students within 10 years.
With a strong focus on academic excellence and a commitment to global education, AUB and its new campus, AUB Mediterraneo, offer a wide range of programs and a truly international learning experience.
