The Greater Birmingham Auburn Club is the official Auburn University alumni club serving Auburn alumni and friends in Jefferson and Shelby counties. Since 1946, the volunteer-driven organization has helped members stay connected to Auburn and supported scholarship opportunities for students in the Greater Birmingham area. Its SOAR Fund raises assistance intended to help local students pursue an Auburn education, and the club encourages alumni and friends to contribute and get involved.
The club organizes events throughout the year, creating opportunities for members to gather, celebrate Auburn, and give back to their community. Its signature occasions include the annual Distinguished Awards Dinner, which recognizes members of the Auburn Family while raising scholarship support. The club also shares news, event information, photos, and updates through its website and social media channels.
Leadership applications are open to people interested in contributing their time and skills. Businesses can support the organization through corporate donations and sponsorship opportunities.
