Albatros Social

Auguste Frauentreff is a community and support centre in Berlin-Reinickendorf, operated by Albatros gemeinnützige Gesellschaft für soziale und gesundheitliche Dienstleistungen mbH. Part of the Mehrgenerationenhaus Berlin-Reinickendorf and Stadtteilzentrum AVA, it provides a protected space exclusively for women to meet, build social connections and take part in community life. The centre particularly welcomes socially disadvantaged women, migrants and refugees, and aims to strengthen their wellbeing, participation and social and professional integration.

Its services include free, confidential social counselling by appointment, with support on issues such as family conflict, discrimination, violence, bereavement and caregiving. Health consultations offer information about nutrition, movement, relaxation and navigating the German healthcare system. Learning activities include language and computer courses, language cafés and homework support; availability and registration requirements vary. Regular group activities include yoga, a Turkish women’s brunch group and a guided crochet group. The centre also hosts events, outings and other leisure and movement activities. Counselling can be anonymous on request, and language support may be available through integration guides or Stadtteilmütter.
