August Maine Coons

August Maine Coons is a small hobby cattery located about 45 minutes from Kansas City, serving families in Kansas, Missouri, the wider Kansas City area, and across the United States. The breeder raises purebred Maine Coon kittens in a home environment, alongside children and a service dog, to encourage confidence, sociability, and comfort in family settings. The cats are bred for health, temperament, and breed characteristics, including their luxurious coats and distinctive features.

Breeding cats receive genetic screening and health assessments that include evaluations for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hips, and patellas. The cattery’s Maine Coons are registered with TICA and CFA, and are shown in both organizations. Available kittens and upcoming litters are presented online, with reservations generally beginning at around six weeks. Kittens go to their new homes at 12 to 14 weeks, after being litter box trained and receiving age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Each adoption includes microchipping, registration, a health guarantee, 30 days of Trupanion insurance, a carrier, an adoption bag, and lifetime breeder support.
