Aukra kommune er ein øy- og fastlandskommune på kysten av Romsdal. Kommunen har ca 3500 innbyggarar og er ein vekstkommune. Med ilandføring av gass frå Ormen Lange-feltet og som gassknutepunkt for Norskehavet, er kommunen sikra eit unikt utgangspunkt for eit allsidig nærings- og kulturliv og godt utbygde tenester. Kommunen si plassering innbyr til friluftsaktivitetar både til sjøs og til lands. Avstanden til kultur-, fotball- og industribyen Molde er kort. Aukra kommune har omlag 500 tilsette. Administrativt er vi organisert i to nivå: rådmann, kommunalsjefar og tre stabs- og støtteavdelingar samt 11 einingar. Kommunen har gode utviklingsmulegheiter og står overfor mange interessante prosjekt og store utfordringar.
