The AULR has been in existence since 1967. It has a proud tradition of showcasing the best undergraduate work produced at the University of Auckland law school, and is edited and published entirely by students. This combination is unique in New Zealand legal publishing. It affords us the opportunity to select and publish fresh articles, case notes and commentaries on changing and controversial areas of the law. The Law Review experience also allows members of the Editorial Staff to be involved with editing articles while honing their own legal research and writing skills. We publish one issue of approximately 300 pages per year.

About Auckland University Law Review
The Auckland University Law Review (AULR) is a legal publication with a rich history dating back to 1967. Run entirely by students from the University of Auckland law school, the AULR is a unique platform for showcasing the best undergraduate work in New Zealand. As editors, the talented law students have the privilege of selecting and publishing cutting-edge articles, case notes, and commentaries that cover changing and controversial areas of the law.
With an annual issue of approximately 325 pages, the AULR provides a comprehensive resource for legal research and analysis. It is available in both print and digital formats, including through esteemed databases such as HeinOnline, Informit, and Thomson Reuters. Being a part of the AULR not only enhances academic and writing skills, but it also establishes a network of accomplished alumni who have contributed to this prestigious publication.
