Auntsfield Estate is a New Zealand wine producer whose story is closely tied to its vineyard, shaped by glacial history and uncovered by a pioneer of New Zealand winemaking. The Cowley family preserves the estate’s heritage and cares for its land, connecting its wines to a distinctive place and its past.
The estate’s Single Vineyard range is made from grapes grown on its own vineyard and includes Rosé, Nature’s Path Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its Single Block wines come from small, defined areas of the vineyard and are made in limited quantities when the fruit shows consistent quality and character. These include The Herd Pinot Noir, South Oaks Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc, Cob Cottage Chardonnay and Hawk Hill Pinot Noir. In exceptional years, Auntsfield also releases Heritage Pinot Noir, crafted from its best fruit using old-world winemaking techniques and a few drops of its 1905 wine.
Visitors can enjoy tours and tastings at the estate’s cellar door on Paynters Road near Blenheim.
