Aurelia Counseling

Aurelia Counseling is a trauma-informed counseling practice in Lakewood, Dallas, led by Lisa Chernow, MS, LPC-A, NCC, EMDR-T. The practice supports teens and adults aged 16 and older who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, or challenging life changes. Its approach is compassionate, collaborative, inclusive, and tailored to each client’s pace, with care informed by the intersections of culture, identity, sexuality, and mental health.

Services include individual counseling and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for processing distressing experiences and unresolved trauma. Counseling can also address PTSD and complex trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse, family conflict, body image, career concerns, infertility, self-esteem, self-harm, coping skills, and social or adjustment difficulties. Secure telehealth sessions are available when appropriate.

Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $150, with a free 15-minute phone consultation to explore fit. Aurelia Counseling is a private-pay provider, accepts HSA/FSA cards, and can provide superbills for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement. Limited reduced-rate spaces may be available.
