Aurora Trail

Aurora Trail is a winter mountain trail-running event held in Kandalaksha on the Kola Peninsula. Its 2027 race takes place on March 13, inviting runners to explore snowy hills, forest trails, and views over the White Sea, with the chance to see the Northern Lights. The event offers five distances, from the beginner-friendly Meteor at 7 km to the 58 km Gandvik ultramarathon.

Other routes include Luch at 17 km, Siyanie at 30 km, and Korona at 40 km, with varying elevation gains and levels of difficulty. Longer courses climb local peaks, while Gandvik also crosses the frozen White Sea. Aurora Trail provides route information and downloadable tracks, online race registration and payment, event rules, participant guidance, and frequently asked questions.

The website also publishes results from previous editions, news, and information about partners and a summer trail event. Runners can find practical details on the start location, required medical certificates, equipment, and local accommodation
