Auser Cesena

Auser Cesena is a volunteer and social promotion association dedicated to encouraging active ageing and recognising the contribution of older people. Based in Cesena, it supports community wellbeing through practical assistance, social initiatives and opportunities for participation. Its services include social transport for people facing difficulties, including those with mobility challenges or disabilities, and shopping assistance through Ausilio. The Filo d’Argento initiative and socio-health training and outpatient services are also part of its work.

The association contributes to local life through school services, help with study and social integration, and support for care homes. Volunteers also help protect green spaces and facilitate access to museums, libraries, gardens and cemeteries. Alongside these activities, Auser Cesena promotes culture and social connection with popular dance, theatre education, cultural events, training courses, social tourism and community celebrations. It also undertakes fundraising and local and international solidarity initiatives. Residents can participate by becoming members or volunteers, or support the organisation’s work through donations and other contributions.
