About Australian Fashion Council
The Australian Fashion Council, based in Melbourne VIC, is the leading authority in the Australian fashion and textile industry. With over 65 years of experience, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and connecting critical stakeholders within the industry. Our goal is to guide the transformation of the industry by 2030, creating a socially, environmentally, and economically prosperous circular economy.
We offer a range of programs and initiatives to help the industry evolve and thrive. Our key strategic initiatives include promoting the Australian Fashion trademark to increase demand for responsible brands, building future manufacturing capacity to boost jobs and close the supply chain loop, developing skills and career pathways for the industry's workforce, and transitioning to a circular economy through our groundbreaking National Clothing Product Stewardship Scheme called Seamless.
