About BirdLife Australia
The Aussie Bird Count, organized by BirdLife Australia, invites Australians to participate in the country's largest citizen science project during National Bird Week, from October 16–22, 2023. This engaging initiative encourages individuals and families to spend just 20 minutes in their favorite outdoor spaces, counting the birds they see. Participants can easily submit their findings through a user-friendly app or web form, with access to a built-in "bird finder" tool for assistance with bird identification.
Not only does the Aussie Bird Count promote birdwatching and conservation, but it also presents exciting chances to win fantastic prizes. Participants in the count will be eligible for rewards such as an OM System Digital Camera Package, Optisan binoculars, and exclusive art prints from Eggpicnic. The event fosters a sense of community while enhancing awareness and appreciation for Australia’s diverse avian species. Join thousands in celebrating our feathered friends and contribute to vital conservation efforts with each count you submit!
