Austin Eischeid Garden Design creates naturalistic planting schemes designed to bring gardens to life throughout the year. Based in the Midwest and working nationally, Austin Eischeid designs landscapes for public gardens, institutions, commercial sites, and private residences. His approach layers perennials, ornamental grasses, bulbs, and other plants to provide seasonal color, structure, texture, and lasting interest while working with nature.

The studio’s projects include gardens at Millennium Park in Chicago, Kingwood Center Gardens in Ohio, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Virginia, and Iowa State University’s Anderson Sculpture Garden. Residential work ranges from large meadows to intimate garden borders, while commercial and institutional commissions include wellness centers, golf clubs, and public landscapes. Eischeid also collaborates on projects shaped by planting designer Piet Oudolf, contributing expertise in implementation, horticulture, plant procurement, and layout. His work has appeared in Fine Gardening and Better Homes & Gardens, and he gives talks on creating expressive, four-season gardens.
