About Australian Atlas
Australian Atlas is an independent guide and map for discovering locally run places across Australia. It brings together thousands of verified listings, checked one at a time, and excludes chains, franchises, and group-run businesses. Visitors can explore more than 10,000 places across 83 regions and 74 kinds of independent destination, using searchable categories, regional browsing, and a “near me” option to plan where to go.
The atlas covers coffee roasters, food and dining, wineries and distilleries, boutique accommodation, nature spots, tours and walks, makers, museums and galleries, shops, and vintage stores. Listings range from farm stays, gardens, and surf schools to studios, restaurants, and cellar doors. Australian Atlas also publishes a fresh daily edition featuring selected places, and offers regional day itineraries arranged in visiting order. Users can save places, search by location or interest, and discover operators’ own descriptions through individual listings. Its purpose is to make Australia’s independent businesses, cultural venues, and natural attractions easier to find and explore.
