Savannah Autism Conference

The Savannah Autism Conference is dedicated to enhancing the community's ability to support and include autistic individuals across all ages. Established by the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism, this annual conference serves as a vital resource for educators, parents, caregivers, and autistic individuals, providing essential training and support. The conference aims to equip educators with the necessary skills to assist autistic students in mainstream education and to empower parents with valuable information and tools to advocate for their children and foster meaningful lives.

In addition, the conference offers a welcoming environment for self-advocates, focusing on critical topics such as employment, social skills, and personal development. Recent webinar series topics have included sexual health and autism, self-determination, and innovative teaching strategies for improved communication. Since its inception in 2016, the Savannah Autism Conference has successfully reached over 1,500 attendees. With support from sponsors, including the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Disabilities, the conference continues to play a significant role in promoting neurodiversity and advocacy within the community.
