Autism Spectrum Assessment

Autism Spectrum Assessment provides psychological assessment and therapy services for children and young people up to 16 years of age in Brisbane North, including Ashgrove, and Ipswich. The practice is led by Suzanne Rimland, a registered psychologist with postgraduate qualifications in autism from Griffith University, professional experience in Queensland Government Disability Services, and lived experience supporting a family member on the autism spectrum.

Services include autism-specific assessments, cognitive and IQ testing, screening for ADHD and mental health concerns, and assessment of adaptive behaviour, emotional difficulties, strengths and resilience. Assessments draw on interviews, observations, and information from parents, carers, teachers and the young person, using evidence-based tools accepted by medical and allied health practitioners. NDIS psychological therapy is also available for children, with mobile appointments offered across Brisbane North and Ipswich when clinic access is difficult.

The practice works from Highpoint Plaza in Ashgrove and serves Ipswich and surrounding areas by arrangement. Its approach aims to make assessment accessible and help families better understand support needs.
