(autismus OWL) is a regional association dedicated to supporting people on the autism spectrum and those close to them. Working across Ostwestfalen-Lippe and beyond, the organization aims to foster independence and participation in community life through individualized, ongoing support. Its services are available to children, young people and adults, recognizing that each person’s needs differ and that families and other support networks may also need guidance.
The association’s services span four connected areas. Its Autism Therapy Centers provide consultation, therapy and group activities. FRIDA offers individualized assistance in different areas of life, while BeWo provides supported living and mobile support. The organization also delivers autism-specific social and therapeutic family support. Its teams coordinate their work and collaborate with other institutions and specialist services to provide joined-up assistance.
In addition to direct services, autismus OWL shares information and offers training. As a regional association with state and national involvement, it also advocates for the interests of people with autism spectrum conditions.
