AutoBidHistory is an online vehicle research service that helps users explore millions of archived auction records from Copart and IAAI, two major U.S. insurance auto auction providers. Buyers, dealers, importers, exporters, insurance professionals, and other researchers can search by VIN, lot number, make, model, or year to find historical listings and vehicle information.

Search results may include original auction photos, vehicle specifications, reported damage, odometer readings and history, auction dates, and historical sale prices. The service also provides a VIN lookup and decoder to help users identify relevant records and assess a vehicle’s auction background before making a purchase or import decision. AutoBidHistory covers a range of vehicle categories, including automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, boats, motor homes, buses, trailers, and snowmobiles, with examples from both Copart and IAAI listings. Its stated purpose is to make historical auction data accessible quickly, supporting more informed vehicle research. The website also offers access to recent auction records and a newsletter sign-up.
