AutoCap is a captioning tool built for Indian creators who make Reels, Shorts, and YouTube videos. Its speech recognition is designed for Hindi-English code-switching and supports 12 Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Urdu. Captions can be produced in native scripts, Roman letters, or English translation, with language detection available during upload.
The service generates word-level captions with individual timing, making it easier to keep highlights in sync with speech. Users can edit text and timing, adjust colours and fonts, and choose from a library of caption templates. After uploading an MP4 or MOV clip, creators can export a captioned MP4 rendered in their browser or download SRT and VTT subtitle files. AutoCap also offers a Premiere Pro plugin.
