The association advocates for patient-focused policies at state and federal levels and promotes collaboration among patient groups, scientists, physicians, and policymakers. It also supports autoimmune research through surveys, research updates, clinical trial information, and initiatives that encourage scientific coordination.

Community programs include the Autoimmune Community Summit, the Hope Journey Walk, and opportunities for young adults to participate in advocacy.
