AV Wels

Anglerverein Wels e.V. is a Berlin angling association founded in 1930, dedicated to the Schlachtensee and Krumme Lanke. Guided by tradition, shared responsibility and a passion for fishing, the club cares for these lakes as both valued fishing waters and important natural habitats. Its work includes fisheries supervision, waterway care and carefully considered fish stocking intended to support healthy, diverse fish populations.

The association welcomes anglers of different experience levels and runs a youth department that introduces the next generation to fishing, nature conservation and responsible angling. Members can take part in club events throughout the year, including fishing days, social gatherings and the Wels Camp. They may also access a seasonal rowing-boat arrangement at Schlachtensee and a quiet, designated waterside area at Krumme Lanke. Fishing permits for the club’s waters are available online through Fiskado. Motor and electric-powered boats are not permitted on either lake. Anglerverein Wels brings members together to enjoy time by the water while helping preserve the lakes for the future.
