The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (DofE) is a global program that inspires young people aged 14-24 to discover their strengths and find direction for the future. DofE empowers young individuals to develop essential skills for their future, such as self-awareness, communication, resilience, and teamwork, through various activities and hobbies. This valuable expertise is recognized internationally through the prestigious DofE badge and certificate.

The program is open to all young people, regardless of their background or abilities, and can be undertaken at different levels. DofE can be implemented in various settings where young people operate, including schools, educational institutions, youth work in municipalities and churches, organizations, and sports and recreational activities. With over 130 countries participating and more than a million young people annually, DofE has already impacted over 10,000 young individuals in Finland.
