The American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC®) is dedicated to advancing veterinary dentistry through rigorous standards and specialized training. With a mission to recognize and certify board certified veterinary dentists and equine veterinary dentists, AVDC® sets high benchmarks for oral health care in animals. Their Diplomates provide expert care while actively promoting oral disease prevention via initiatives like the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC), which endorses high-quality dental products for pets.

AVDC® membership encompasses a diverse range of professionals, including charter and active Diplomates, as well as life and honorary members. The organization prioritizes responsible breeding practices and offers resources for pet owners to understand breed-related health issues. Additionally, AVDC® provides guidelines on antibiotic use in dental care and outlines the roles of various veterinary health professionals in dental procedures. By ensuring the highest qualifications for veterinary dental care providers, AVDC® is a cornerstone in maintaining the overall health and well-being of animals through advanced dental care solutions.
