The Állatvédők Vasi Egyesülete, established in 2012 in Szombathely, is a dedicated animal welfare organization committed to improving the plight of stray and abused animals in Hungary. The association focuses on rescuing, temporarily housing, and finding permanent homes for both adult and puppy dogs, kittens, and other animals. Their efforts extend to creating a modern animal shelter, which accommodates not just cats and dogs, but also birds, ferrets, small rodents, rabbits, and reptiles.

Dedicated volunteers manage daily activities while working to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare through educational initiatives. The organization operates a progressive animal shelter, continually expanding its facilities to better care for the animals. They actively seek community support and donations to ensure their mission can continue, emphasizing that every contribution plays a crucial role in enhancing the state of animal welfare in Hungary. Through partnerships and continuous outreach, the Állatvédők Vasi Egyesülete strives to build an extensive animal protection network across Vas County.
