The Avenue Lawn Tennis Club is a community tennis club in Loughton, serving players since 1912. Described as the town’s last remaining tennis club, it brings together members for friendly, social and competitive tennis throughout the year. Players can use the club’s all-weather courts, supported by LED floodlights for play in darker conditions.
The club offers tennis coaching for adults and children, including mini tennis, junior programmes and holiday camps. Members and visitors can find information about membership options and pricing, court bookings, guest fees and ball machine hire. The club also runs fixtures and tournaments, with published rules and guidance for players.
Beyond tennis, The Avenue provides a bar and social activities, and its online shop sells club-branded clothing and accessories. The club also shares announcements and information about its policies, including safeguarding and inclusion. It is part of the Epping Forest Community Lottery and has invited community support for plans to redevelop its junior mini court and hitting wall as a multi-use games area.
