A Very Merry Guthrie Christmas is a 100% nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity bringing seasonal light and community support to Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma. Since 2020, its volunteer-supported celebration has illuminated Cottonwood Flats with more than 100,000 lights and over 125 displays. The free, seven-block drive-through features wrapped trees, wireframe displays, inflatables, and other decorations, allowing visitors to enjoy the experience from their vehicles.
The organization’s mission is to brighten the lives of older residents, including those who may be forgotten, and to share holiday cheer with local families facing hardship. Each year, it delivers Christmas gifts to nursing home residents, with support averaging $20 or more per person and an anticipated 300 residents to help in 2026. Its annual Lights in the Cottonwood Flats Festival adds food trucks, pop-up shops, and a fireworks show, with donations welcomed to support the work.
The 2026 display is scheduled for November 28 through December 26, and the festival takes place on the third Saturday of December
