AvGeekery is a brand that specializes in designing and constructing next-generation air traffic control towers (ATCT). These innovative towers are set to revolutionize the aviation industry with their advanced features and focus on sustainability. Developed by New York City-based Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU), the design of these towers has been selected by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its new facilities.

There are several key aspects to know about these ATCTs. Firstly, the initial phase will involve replacing outdated control towers at 31 smaller municipal airports across the United States. These new towers will contribute to the FAA's goal of achieving net-zero aviation emissions by 2050.

Secondly, sustainability is a major focus of the design, with features such as energy-efficient building systems, hazardous chemical-free materials, and high-recycled content steel and metal products. Additionally, the design of these towers pays homage to the legacy of renowned architect I. M.

Pei, who designed the winning concept for the control towers in the 1960s. The new design is a modern twist on Pei's midcentury architecture, combining familiar elements with contemporary touches. Overall, AvGeekery's ATCTs promise to be an exciting and eco-friendly addition to the aviation landscape
