About Aviant
Aviant is a leading brand in the European drone market, offering an end-to-end drone transportation service. Founded in 2020 by a team that met at MIT, Aviant was inspired by the logistics challenges faced by the healthcare sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking advantage of new European drone regulations, Aviant quickly secured a pilot contract with St.
Olavs Hospital in Norway, using autonomous drones to transport medical supplies and samples. Since then, Aviant has expanded its operations, completing over 1,500 flights, covering more than 25,000 km. They have signed ten commercial contracts in Scandinavia, transporting blood samples, COVID-samples, water samples, milk samples, and equipment for windmill farms.
With a robust team of 20 people, Aviant has taken a leading position in the industry. In December, Aviant raised $2. 3 million in seed funding led by Luminar Ventures, enabling them to further scale their operations.
