Aviern provides unmanned aircraft services and geospatial intelligence for oil and gas operators, with a focus on pipeline right-of-way inspection. Its fixed-wing aircraft flies autonomously from takeoff to landing, capturing survey-grade imagery and data along pipeline corridors. A single pass can produce classified encroachment findings, leak signatures, and 3D terrain information, including evidence of erosion, exposed pipe, washouts, ground movement, vegetation growth, and cover loss.
The aircraft can remain airborne for up to five hours and cover as much as 500 miles of line per flight. Aviern installs a dock beside the pipeline, after which operators can task flights at defined intervals and monitor progress in real time. Findings are georeferenced to mileposts and delivered in formats compatible with existing GIS systems. The company also provides inspection reports and configurable alerts, with immediate threats identified quickly. Aviern offers pilot deployments on a single line, supplying the aircraft, sensors, and a Part 107-certified crew.
