Avis Santa Margherita Ligure

AVIS Santa Margherita Ligure (AVIS SML) is the local section of the Associazione Volontari Italiani del Sangue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the public benefit of ensuring an adequate supply of blood and blood components for patients in need. Guided by democratic participation and volunteerism, AVIS promotes blood donation, contacts and coordinates donors, and, in some cases, organizes blood collection in agreement with public hospital services. The Santa Margherita Ligure section has served the community since 1952, combining its local history and organized structure with initiatives that encourage solidarity and participation.

AVIS SML provides information about donation types, eligibility requirements, and how to donate. Its online booking system lets donors choose available appointments from a defined calendar, helping organize donation and blood-drawing sessions. The association also runs local events and initiatives and collaborates with other community organizations. Residents can contact the section to volunteer, contribute, or suggest activities. Through these services, AVIS SML supports donors and helps connect community involvement with the ongoing need for blood.
