Avis Aido Gorgonzola

AVIS Gorgonzola is a local branch of the Associazione Volontari Italiani del Sangue, a non-profit, non-partisan and non-religious volunteer organisation. It works to ensure an adequate supply of blood and blood components for patients who need them, welcoming people without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion or political beliefs.

The association invites eligible residents to become blood donors and provides information on donation requirements, procedures and collection locations. Its activities include organising appointments for blood, plasma and multicomponent donations, sharing health guidance and updates on temporary or permanent donation suspensions, and publishing local news and events. Donors can contact the organisation for information, book a donation and, where available, access examination results online. The site notes that online results are available only to donors served by the Vittorio Formentano centre in Limbiate.

AVIS Gorgonzola also promotes community participation through events and fundraising, including the option to allocate Italy’s five-per-thousand tax contribution to the association.
