A Vision of Self

A Vision of Self is a New York City psychological practice specializing in immigration evaluations for clients across New York. Founded and led by Dr. Alma Villegas-Schwalbenberg, Ph.D., the practice draws on her 25 years of clinical experience. She has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2004, serves as an attending senior psychologist at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, and has completed hundreds of immigration evaluations. She has also served as an expert witness in immigration hearings.

The practice prepares evaluations for a range of immigration matters, including naturalization waivers (N-648), hardship waivers, cancellation of removal, asylum, VAWA, U visas, and T visas. Evaluations are available in any language within New York. The process includes an intake interview and clinical and psychological evaluation, with additional testing when needed. A Vision of Self says its experienced psychologists, therapists, and legal team collaborate to provide complete, competent reports in a timely manner, with input from an attorney.
