AVIS Provinciale Foggia

AVIS Provinciale Foggia OdV is the provincial branch of the Associazione Volontari Italiani del Sangue, Italy’s volunteer blood donor association. Based in Foggia, it supports blood donation and connects local communities with a network of municipal AVIS groups across the province, including locations such as Cerignola, Lucera, Manfredonia, San Severo and San Giovanni Rotondo. The organization encourages people to become donors, explaining that applicants should meet basic requirements and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Its website provides information about the association, its history, statutes and documents, as well as guidance on donation and contact details for local branches. AVIS Provinciale Foggia also promotes community engagement through its youth group and public activities. One featured initiative is “Schiaccia Con AVIS,” a beach-volleyball tournament organized by young members, alongside seasonal messages and national awareness campaigns.

Through donor outreach, local coordination and events, the organization helps foster a culture of voluntary blood donation throughout the Foggia area. The provincial office is located on Via Nazario Sauro in Foggia and is open on weekdays
