AVIS Provinciale

AVIS Provinciale La Spezia is a volunteer-run blood donation organization serving the province of La Spezia, Italy. Its work helps make blood and plasma available for medical procedures, treatments and emergencies, supporting patients whose needs cannot be met by manufactured substitutes. The organization helps people learn about donation, check eligibility and book a collection appointment, and provides information on what to expect during the donation process.

Collections take place at six locations across the province, including fixed collection units and mobile blood-collection vehicles. The website lists upcoming dates, times and locations, making it easier for donors to choose a convenient session. It also provides details about local AVIS municipal associations, collection centres and eligibility requirements. The general criteria include being aged 18 to 60 and weighing at least 50 kilograms, with final suitability assessed by a doctor on the day of donation. AVIS Provinciale La Spezia also shares local events and ways to support its activities.
