AVIS Sorbolo

AVIS Sorbolo is the Sorbolo branch of the Associazione Volontari Italiani del Sangue, Italy’s association of volunteer blood donors. Based in Sorbolo, in the province of Parma, it promotes blood donation and supports people interested in becoming donors. The association provides information about donation types, eligibility, the donation process, blood and plasma, and related health checks. Prospective donors can submit an enrolment request online; those who meet the stated age, health and weight requirements are assessed through clinical tests, an electrocardiogram and a medical examination before donating.

At its renovated premises on Via Gruppini, AVIS Sorbolo offers a reception area, refreshment room, four medical offices and a spacious collection room, bringing the donation journey together on one floor. Donors can arrange whole-blood donation appointments through the AVISLAB app, their local AVIS office or the provincial booking number. The association also shares news, appointment information and practical guidance, and invites supporters to contribute through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax donation. Its website includes organizational information, documents, a calendar and a photo gallery.
