Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities. Based in Ireland, it provides services in Limerick, North Tipperary and Dublin, supporting more than 3,000 people, including individuals with complex support needs and their families. Its mission is to work alongside the people it supports so they can live their best lives, access quality services and participate as active citizens in an inclusive society.
Avista’s supports include accommodation, respite, day services, training and education, individualised supports, specialist clinical services, Children’s Disability Network Teams and children’s respite. Its HomeShare Mid-West programme offers opportunities for host carers in Limerick and North Tipperary. The organisation also provides Avista WorkAbility and an accessible online E-Hub, developed in partnership with service users. The E-Hub features live learning and social events, accessible resources, videos and news. Avista further invites individuals and workplaces to contribute through volunteering and other involvement opportunities, helping make a difference in the lives of the people it supports.
