AVIS VERBANIA

AVIS Comunale Verbania is a local voluntary association dedicated to promoting blood donation, solidarity and a culture of health in the Verbania community. Founded in 1947, it continues to rely on volunteers to support its mission and encourage people to become regular, responsible donors. The association promotes donation as anonymous, unpaid and voluntary, with donor and recipient safety at the heart of its work.

AVIS Verbania provides information about eligibility, the donation process and common questions, helping prospective donors understand medical checks and donation schedules. It also supports ongoing donor health monitoring and promotes safe, planned blood collection in response to transfusion needs. Beyond blood donation, the association encourages active volunteering, promotes sport across the local area and works to involve young people through Accademia AVIS Giovani. Its Rete delle Associazioni initiative brings local organisations together around shared community goals. Through these activities, AVIS Comunale Verbania seeks to make the culture of giving part of everyday community life and contribute to collective wellbeing.
