Avitra Smart Systems

Avitra Smart Systems is a Canadian company based in Vancouver that develops EDA, an AI charting assistant for dental practices. Designed for Canadian clinicians, EDA helps dentists document appointments while staying focused on their patients. The service captures appointment audio in real time and converts the conversation into structured clinical notes, using dental terminology and SOAP formatting. Its Deep Thinking Mode organizes details such as patient concerns, clinical findings, and treatment discussions, with notes prepared for clinician review and approval.

Dentists can begin with adult or pediatric examination templates, customize formats to suit their practice, and set preferences for individual clinicians. Completed notes use Canadian dental documentation standards and can be copied into a practice management system. Avitra highlights PIPEDA-compliant data handling and storage, with patient data hosted in Canada.

EDA is available through a 30-day free trial. The company also lists planned tools, including referral letters, consent forms, post-operative instructions, patient insights, annual summaries, and practice management features. Avitra provides resources, support, and privacy information for Canadian dental teams.
