About Avni – Center
Avni Center for Sustainability (ACS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Kathmandu that is dedicated to achieving sustainability. They believe that education is key to creating change and emphasize the importance of knowledge creation and rediscovery. ACS strives to educate themselves and others about sustainable practices to combat ignorance and indifference towards the environment.
However, they understand that education alone is not enough. They also focus on changing people's mindsets and behaviors to promote intentional and focused action towards sustainability. ACS believes that local leadership is crucial for propagating sustainable practices and spreading awareness.
In addition, they advocate for systemic change by working with institutional and local government partners. ACS offers services in various areas of work and collaborates with numerous municipalities in Nepal. Their ultimate goal is to create a truly sustainable lifestyle for individuals and communities
