Avontuur op Maat

Avontuur op Maat is a personal support service founded by Rephay van Tol in Ede, the Netherlands. It organizes tailored outings for children, young people and adults who need additional care or support. Each day is planned around the participant’s wishes, abilities, energy and boundaries, with safety, enjoyment and being oneself at the heart of the experience.

Rephay offers individual guidance informed by experience in youth care, mental health care and disability support, including complex care needs. Activities can range from a quiet day at the beach to a concert, and are prepared with clear agreements and a calm, reassuring structure. Support may help participants build confidence, enjoy social experiences, manage sensory stimulation and explore new activities at their own pace. Avontuur op Maat also takes care of practical arrangements to make outings less stressful for participants and their families. An introductory conversation is available to discuss needs and preferences, and partial or full funding may in some cases be possible through a personal budget or another arrangement.
