Avonvale Equine

Avonvale Equine Vet Practice is an independent, equine-only ambulatory veterinary practice based near Banbury, Oxfordshire. Its experienced vets and nurses provide care for horses, ponies, donkeys and mules across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, parts of Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. The practice combines routine healthcare with specialist investigation and treatment, including vaccinations, dentistry, lameness and poor-performance assessments, pre-purchase examinations, medicine, standing surgery, stud services and artificial insemination. It also provides export papers, repeat prescriptions, therapies, equine performance medicine, a Cushingoid Horse Health Scheme and an annual worm-control package.

Mobile equipment enables most procedures to take place at the client’s yard, while the Banbury head office has an in-house laboratory and dispensary for convenient sample processing and medication. Through a local partner facility in Warwickshire, Avonvale can arrange overnight stabling, gastroscopy, artificial insemination and clinic days, and can refer cases to suitable specialist centres when needed. The practice offers weekly zone visits for routine appointments and 24-hour emergency call-outs handled by its own vets.
