AVU

AVU is a regional energy provider serving the Ennepe-Ruhr district, where it has supplied electricity, natural gas and drinking water since 1905. The company serves both households and businesses, offering tariff options that customers can compare and order online. Its electricity plans include choices for price planning, digital account management and renewable-energy options; gas tariffs offer different contract terms and online services. AVU also provides drinking-water information and services, including water-quality checks, support with house connections and construction water, and legionella testing.

Beyond core utilities, AVU offers heat-related services such as heat pumps and heating rental, as well as electric-mobility solutions including charging tariffs, wallboxes and public charging points. Its broader energy solutions include energy audits, advice on efficiency, photovoltaic services, energy certificates and thermography. AVU presents reliability, regional connection, efficient energy use and accessible customer service as key priorities. Customers can get support by phone, email, in person at one of seven Treffpunkte, or through an online portal for contracts, bills and service requests.
